Correll Insurance Group of Charleston started in Summerville in September of 2016. It was put together with a team of seasoned insurance professionals that have a combined, 52 years of insurance experience. The three who started this office worked for a large agency in the Charleston area their entire career and were trained very well in all aspects of the insurance business. If it can happen, they have seen it. They have worked as a team for a long time and will come up with a solution for any of your insurance needs.

The Team:

Jason L. Besse – Jason grew up in Miami, FL. He attended the University of Alabama. He moved to Charleston in 1992 and has never thought about leaving this beautiful area. He has 3 daughters and a beautiful wife who works for the school district in Summerville, where she is a teaching assistant for kindergarten. Jason started in the food and beverage industry when he moved to Charleston. He worked in this industry for 6 years, before getting into the insurance business. Jason’s grandfather and father both had successful careers as insurance agents, so he thought “why not me?” He started his career as a “Generalist” and wrote both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines. He insured many high profile businesses in the Charleston area. He then began focusing on certain classes of business. He insures many restaurants and higher profile businesses. Jason is very seasoned and ready to help your needs. He is also a Life and Health agent.

Terrance Jenkins – Terrance was born in Columbia, SC but spent the majority of his childhood on the Isle of Palms and graduated from College of Charleston. He started his career in real estate working for Prudential Carolina Real Estate and later worked as a sales and leasing agent in commercial real estate. In 2004 Terrance transitioned in to the insurance industry specializing in both Personal and Commercial Insurance. Terrance believes that building relationships and friendships are key in his business. His goal is to help his client’s protect their most important assets by offering good solid insurance advice, and insuring their assets in the most efficient and effective way possible.

Denise Perkins – Denise was born in Alabama but spent most of her childhood in the Carolinas before finally settling in Charleston SC in 1993. She graduated from the College of Charleston in May of 2002 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Communications. She started her career in personal lines working for a small agency in North Carolina before moving into Commercial Lines. She has worked on both the carrier side, as well as, the agency side. She holds the Certified Insurance Counselor and Certified Insurance Sales Representative designations and was named South Carolina Outstanding CSR of the Year in 2010. Denise focuses on providing the day to day support for clients and for the office team. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her son and traveling.
